Noriel Valdés

Noriel Valdés has a diverse work experience in software engineering. Starting in 2013, they worked as an iOS Software Engineer for The Frick Collection, where they implemented the UI for a cross-platform mobile app. They also served as a Business Analyst and Project Manager.

In 2013, Noriel joined Century 21 Department Stores as a UI/UX Requirements Engineer. They implemented advanced customer-facing features for the company's website. Later, they became the UI/UX Technical Manager and managed the re-platforming of c21stores.com to Ruby on Rails. They also automated the transition between platforms for business users.

In 2018, Noriel joined The Vitamin Shoppe as a Software Engineer and later became a Senior Software Engineer. They introduced Typescript to the front-end stack and converted the front-end application architecture to reusable components and singleton services. They also mentored a team of engineers based in Mumbai.

Noriel then joined Northpass in 2021 as a Senior Software Engineer. They led a team responsible for building and maintaining integrations with strategic partners. They also designed and implemented a microservice for relaying learning data events. They mentored engineers and ensured the continuous growth of the team and the engineering organization.

Currently, Noriel is working at Gainsight as a Software Engineer III. They are leading a team in transitioning Northpass into Gainsight after the acquisition. They also competed in an AI hackathon to integrate machine learning and LLMs into the Northpass educator experience.

Noriel Valdés completed their education in a chronological order, starting from 2008 to 2017. Noriel attended Stevens Institute of Technology for their undergraduate and graduate studies. From 2008 to 2013, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music & Technology. During the same period, they also completed a Minor in Computer Science. Following their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at Stevens Institute of Technology and obtained a Master of Science degree in Enterprise and Cloud Computing from 2013 to 2017.
