Philippa Tsirgiotis has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Philippa started their career as a Biomedical Engineering Work Experience intern at Flinders University in 2015. Philippa later joined the same university as a Biomedical Engineering Department Intern, where they assisted with ongoing research in the Biomechanics and Implants Laboratory. In 2017, they became a Private Academic Tutor, providing academic support to students until 2022.

In 2018, Philippa became a Student Recruitment Ambassador at Flinders University, where they prepared and delivered science-related workshops to high school students and presented to prospective students and parents. Philippa also took on roles as an Engineering Design Demonstrator and a Biomechanics Research Assistant at the university.

In 2020, they briefly worked as a Rehabilitation Engineering Intern at Global Movement Pty Ltd, where they designed and created a prototype of a novel shoulder rehabilitation device. During this period, Philippa pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours) / Master of Engineering (Biomedical).

Philippa also obtained a Standard Mental Health First Aider certification from Mental Health First Aid® Australia in April 2021.
