Kevin Taylor has over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. Kevin began their career in 1998 as an R&D Project Manager at Atrionix Inc in Palo Alto, CA. In 2003, they were recruited by the President of Cardiac Surgery at Guidant Group, Inc. to turn around the meager product development efforts within the recently acquired minimally invasive surgical (MIS) ablation franchise. As Manager, R&D Cardiac Surgery, they were the core technical leader of Ablation Therapy management team and was accountable for new product development, functional budgeting, project resource modeling and technical lead in the development and communication of franchise strategy. In 2007, they were recruited by the VP of Operations at Acclarent, Inc. to start a Process and Product Development function within the company. From 2012 to 2015, they served as VP of Development & Operations at ReCor Medical, where they developed a novel ablation system that utilized ultrasound technology to create a product that delivered a therapeutic benefit for the treatment of hypertension. Kevin also built the company from 3 people to 20 people by recruiting and hiring all engineering, production, quality, supply-chain, and technical consultant personnel. From 2015 to 2018, they served as COO and VP of R&D at Gala Therapeutics. In 2018, they became an Investor at Botable and Chief Operating Officer at Galvanize Therapeutics, Inc.
Kevin Taylor attended The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2000 to 2002, where they earned their MBA in Business. Kevin then attended Drexel University from 1987 to 1992, where they earned their BSME in Mechanical Engineering.
