Amaris Nissi is an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer at Galactiv, Inc., contributing to the development of the world's first commercial satellite servicer since October 2022. Prior to this role, Amaris served as a Recovery System Engineer at the Texas Rocket Engineering Lab, where involvement included supporting near sub-orbital recovery systems for the Halcyon rocket. Amaris also held the position of Lead System Engineer at NASA, leading a team of undergraduate students in conceptualizing a mission for the Lucy Mission to the Trojan Asteroids. Earlier experience includes working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Center for Transportation Research at UT Austin, focusing on optimal routing systems for drone-assisted parcel delivery. Amaris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
