Stephanie Boeddeker has extensive experience in the education sector, with a focus on academic leadership and curriculum development. Stephanie started their career at the Victor C. Newmann Association as an Advocate from 1999 to 2001. From 1996 to 2004, they served as a Program Supervisor at the West Suburban Special Recreation Association. Boeddeker then transitioned to the Chicago Public Schools, where they worked as a 1st-3rd Grade Teacher from 2002 to 2005. During the same period, they also held the role of Museum Educator at the Kohl Children's Museum. In 2005, Boeddeker joined Galapagos Charter School as a 1st Grade Instructor and later became the Literacy Coordinator from 2007 to 2008. Stephanie then served as the Academic Director from 2008 to 2009. Since 2009, Boeddeker has held the position of Chief Academic Officer at Galapagos Charter Schools, where they are responsible for overseeing curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development.

Stephanie Boeddeker earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Loyola University Chicago from 1998 to 2002. Stephanie then obtained a Master of Arts degree in Reading from Northeastern Illinois University from 2005 to 2008. Currently, they are pursuing a Dyslexia Graduate Certificate from Indiana University Bloomington, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
