Yongduo Liu

Yongduo Liu is a highly experienced quantitative researcher, currently serving as Vice President at Galaxy Digital since May 2020, where multiple short and medium-term trading signals have been developed to enhance crypto market-making, achieving a Sharpe ratio of 4 and a 70% profit without leverage. Previously, Yongduo Liu held roles as a quantitative developer at JST Capital, building market-making systems for various digital asset exchanges, and as a quantitative strategist at Star Trading, where a hedge fund focused on Chinese commodity futures markets was co-managed. Additional experience includes an internship at Tower Research Capital developing high-frequency trading signals and a role at Bloomberg LP specializing in statistical arbitrage strategies. Yongduo Liu earned a Master’s Degree in Financial Engineering and a PhD in Materials Engineering from UCLA, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and Applied Mathematics from Peking University.
