James Houghton

James Houghton has extensive experience in information technology and management, currently serving as the Senior Director and Corporate CIO of Information Systems & Technology at Galaxy Entertainment Group since April 2016. Houghton previously held the position of SVP of Information Technology at Sands China from July 2012 to April 2016, overseeing the technology strategy for multiple hotel-casinos in Macau. Prior roles include VP and CIO at Wynn Resorts Limited, where responsibilities encompassed strategy and IT operations for all business systems, and Director of Information Technology at Sun Chemical, a global leader in printing inks. Houghton began a career in technical consulting with positions at PCS Inc. and MCI Systemhouse. Houghton holds a Master of Science in Technology Management from Columbia University, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and an Associate of Science in Computer Technology from Camosun College.
