Ayrenne Adams, MD MPH

Ayrenne Adams, MD MPH has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Ayrenne is currently working as the NY Medical Director at Galileo since June 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine starting from October 2020. Ayrenne also served as a Primary Care Physician at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health, Tremont from August 2021 to May 2023. During their time at NYC Health + Hospitals, they held various leadership roles such as Clinical Director of Social Determinants of Health, Clinical Lead of the Medical Eracism Initiative, and Clinical Leadership Fellow. Earlier in their career, they were a Resident Physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital from June 2017 to June 2020, where they were recognized for their social justice work and advocacy curriculum development. Ayrenne completed their Doctor of Medicine degree at Emory University School of Medicine from June 2012 to May 2017. Prior to medical school, they were a Teach for America Corps Member from June 2010 to June 2012.

Ayrenne Adams, MD MPH, pursued their education in a variety of prestigious institutions. Ayrenne began their educational journey at The Summit Country Day School, where they completed their high school education from 2002 to 2006. Following this, Ayrenne attended Duke University from 2006 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a focus on History and Chemistry.

Motivated by a passion for healthcare and public health, Ayrenne went on to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Behavioral Science and Health Education at Emory University. This program, completed from 2015 to 2016, provided their with a comprehensive understanding of public health principles and how they intersect with human behavior.

Continuing their academic journey, Ayrenne pursued their medical education at Emory University School of Medicine from 2012 to 2017. Their dedication and hard work culminated in the completion of their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, equipping their with the knowledge and skills necessary for their medical career.

Seeking to further their professional development and enhance their understanding of strategic management in healthcare, Ayrenne briefly attended Harvard Business School for a program in 2019. Although the specific degree or field of study is not mentioned, it signifies their commitment to continued learning and the exploration of different aspects of medicine.

In addition to their educational achievements, Ayrenne obtained two certifications. In June 2019, they obtained an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association, enhancing their skills in emergency cardiac care. Subsequently, in June 2020, they obtained a New York Medical License from the New York State Education Department, allowing their to practice medicine in the state.
