Liat Hayardeny

Liat Hayardeny is the Chief Scientific Officer at Galmed Pharmaceuticals. Liat has over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on research and development. Hayardeny began their career at Teva Pharmaceuticals, where they worked for five years as a Senior Global Scientific Director. In this role, they were responsible for extendingsupport and research activities to other compounds in other therapeutic areas. Hayardeny then moved to Galmed Pharmaceuticals Ltd., where they have been working since 2006. In their current role as Associate Director, MS Research Leader, they are responsible for preparing slide kits and speakers for symposia and conferences, as well as leading research for new mechanisms and new molecules to be developed in auto immune indications.

Liat Hayardeny has a MBA in Organizational Behaviour from Tel Aviv University, Recanati School of Business. Liat also has a Ph.D. in Life Sciences with a focus on Immune Systems and Autoimmune Diseases from Tel Aviv University, Sackler School of Medicine. Additionally, they have an M.Sc. in Human Microbiology from Tel Aviv University, Sackler School of Medicine. Finally, they have a B.Sc. in Medical Sciences from Tel Aviv University, School of Education.
