Alexa Sendukas is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in immigration law and pro bono services. Currently serving as the Managing Attorney for the Galveston-Houston Immigrant Representation Project since May 2021, Alexa leads efforts to provide legal and social support to immigrant children and youth. Prior roles include Supervising Attorney at YMCA International Services, advocating for unaccompanied children and supervising legal teams, and Associate Attorney at JONES DAY®, focusing on commercial civil litigation and maintaining a robust pro bono practice. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Master's Degree in Global Politics & Security from Georgetown University. Additional internships and clerkships have contributed to a well-rounded legal foundation in areas such as family immigration, asylum representation, and judicial externship.
