Andrew Rhodes

Andrew Rhodes currently serves as the Chief Executive and Commissioner of the Gambling Commission since June 2021, overseeing the UK's largest regulated gambling industry. Additionally, Andrew has held the position of Chair at the Swansea City AFC Foundation since August 2021, focusing on charitable initiatives for youth in deprived areas. Prior experience includes serving as the Registrar and Chief Operating Officer at Swansea University (April 2018 - May 2021), where Andrew was responsible for governance and operational services. Andrew's background also includes significant roles such as Director General of Operations at the Department for Work and Pensions, Chief Operating Officer at the Food Standards Agency, and Director of Products & Services at the DVLA. Andrew holds an M.Phil. and a B.A. (Hons) in History from Swansea University.
