Exec Director Operations at Gambling Commission

Kay Roberts has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kay is currently serving as the Executive Director of Operations at the Gambling Commission starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Ombudsman Services as the Head of Operations from 2020 to 2022 and as an Ombudsman from 2015 to 2020. From 2009 to 2015, Kay held managerial roles at Cheshire East Council in Enforcement, Fraud and Investigations and Regulatory Services. Kay also worked at Cheshire County Council as the Lead Officer for Financial Investigations from 2001 to 2009 and at Coventry City Council as a Trainee/Trading Standards Officer from 1999 to 2001.

Kay Roberts obtained their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Dispute Resolution from Queen Margaret University, where they attended from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Consumer Protection from The Manchester Metropolitan University, completing their studies from 1996 to 1999. Kay Roberts also attended Ysgol Aberconwy from 1994 to 1996, where they pursued their A level in French, History, and German. Finally, from 1989 to 1994, they attended Werneth School, where they completed their GCSE.
