Steven Murphy

Steven Murphy is a highly experienced data scientist and analytics manager with a robust background in mathematics and applied computing. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Data Scientist at the Gambling Commission since August 2021 and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Warwick's Warwick Business School since March 2023, Steven has previously held multiple data analytics roles at Jaguar Land Rover from April 2015 to August 2021. A graduate student at CERFACS focused on applied mathematics and high-performance computing, Steven earned dual Ph.D. degrees from the University of Nottingham and Toulouse INP, complemented by a Master's degree in Scientific Computation and a Mathematics degree from Durham University. Expertise includes software development in C and VBA, task automation, and problem-solving through data-driven solutions.
