Scott Selfon is the Audio Experiences Lead at Meta Reality Labs Research, where they continue to pursue opportunities for learning and innovation in real-time interactivity and sound. Previously, they served as Principal Software Engineering Lead at Microsoft from 2000 to 2018, managing teams and providing consultancy on audio and interactive technologies for Xbox. Scott has contributed extensively to the game audio community, serving on advisory boards for the Game Audio Network Guild and the Game Developers Conference, while also teaching at the University of Southern California and the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program. In addition to their engineering and teaching roles, Scott is a violist and Composer in Residence for the Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra since 1999.
