Game Habitat is the community organization for the game development industry in south Sweden. We work to enable the best possible environment for game development. Our community consists of thousands of game developers, and hundreds of game companies, plus many freelancers, students, and hobbyists. All based in southern Sweden. Our work is supported and funded by our member companies, the region of Skåne, and the city of Malmö.

Game Habitat runs DevHub, a game development hub and shared office building in central Malmö. As far as we know, DevHub is the world’s largest dedicated game development house. It’s the perfect place for game developers that wish to start or grow their game studio, find partners and make new friends. DevHub also features a guest office which international developers can lend for free to try DevHub and south Sweden out.

Malmö and southern Sweden is home to game studios such as Ubisoft Massive, Tarsier Studios, King, Sharkmob, Coffee Stain, IO Interactive, Thunderful, Frictional Games, Illusion Labs, Simogo, Deadtoast Entertainment, and Mediocre, to name a few. Together, they've made games played by hundreds of millions of people worldwide.
