Howard Chien, PE

Howard Chien, PE has a diverse work experience in engineering. Howard is currently working at GameChange Solar as a Project Engineer, where they perform engineering analysis and drafts construction documents for ground mounted solar racking systems. Howard also participates in quality control operations and evaluates documentation for potential project challenges. Howard stays updated on industry design practices and new products. Howard interfaces with staff, clients, and permitting officials and works on reducing material costs without compromising quality.

Previously, Howard worked at STV as a Mechanical Engineer Specialist, collaborating with a team to design and deliver machinery for heavy movable structures. Howard generated engineering calculations and CAD drawings, especially for a $160M vertical lift bridge.

Howard also held leadership roles at NYU Tandon SAE BAJA and Electric go-kart (Senior Design), where they led the steering team and served as the FEA Lead respectively. Additionally, they gained experience as a College Aide at the New York City Department of Transportation and as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Dynamical Systems Lab at NYU School of Engineering.

Howard Chien, PE pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from New York University from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Professional Engineer and Surveyor from the NJ Board of Professional Engineers in December 2022. Howard also holds an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification from NCEES.
