Senior Server Engineer at Gameflip

Eng-Shien Wu has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Starting in 1989, they worked as a Graphics Software Developer and later as a Graphics Software Architect at IBM Workstation and Server Division, where they played a key role in designing and implementing enhancements to AIXwindows. Eng-Shien also served as an X Server Architect and represented IBM at X Consortium working groups.

From 1993 to 1995, Eng-Shien Wu worked as a Graphics Software Developer for HaL, where they were responsible for designing and implementing drivers for a prototype superscalar workstation.

In 1998, they joined NetDynamics as an Application Server Developer, where they wrote connectors between the web server and NetDynamics, improving firewall setup, encrypted communications, and reliability.

From 1999 to 2001, Eng-Shien Wu worked as a Java Web Application Developer at Bridgespan, developing online real estate title/escrow services and leading a team in implementing JSP pages, Java business objects, and Oracle SQL.

Eng-Shien Wu continued their web development career at Open Harbor from 2002 to 2004, contributing to the development of an online Global Trade Management system and designing a MVC web application framework.

From 2004 to 2007, they worked at VA Software as a Java Web Application Developer, being part of a team that developed SourceForge Enterprise and built a VMware appliance for the product.

Eng-Shien Wu then joined CollabNet in 2007 as a Java Web Application Developer, working on SourceForge Enterprise Edition and leading an offshore team in adapting the product to a Software-As-A-Service solution.

Starting in 2008, they worked as a Web Developer at Quantivo, and from 2011 to 2014 at Aeria Games & Entertainment, where they held the position of Engineering Manager, Web Applications.

Eng-Shien'smost recent position was as a Senior Server Engineer at Gameflip starting in 2015.

Eng-Shien Wu completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, which they attended from 1996 to 1997. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, where they enrolled from 1986 to 1989.
