Lars Joakim Nilsson has an extensive work experience spanning several roles and companies. Lars Joakim is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Gameopedia since 2022. Prior to this, they had a long tenure at Inmeta, starting in 2010, where they served as a Manager inmeta advanced analytics and big data, Jobber med generell EDB., and Konsulentsjef, Manager MS Dev. Before joining Inmeta, Lars worked at Teleplan Globe as a Senior Consultant from 2002 to 2010, where they held the position of Technical Manager and SCRUM master, among other responsibilities. Lars Joakim also worked at Scandinavian IT Group as a Business Developer in 2001 and at HEP AS as the CTO from 2000 to 2001. Lars began their career at Razorfish, Norway as the Front End Development Director in 1999 and at Telenor R&D as a Research Assistant from 1995 to 1999, where they were involved in the development of a framework for distributed VR.

Lars Joakim Nilsson obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, where they studied from 1989 to 1992. Lars Joakim then pursued further education at the University of Oslo (UiO) from 1992 to 1997, where they completed a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics.
