Ana Goni-Lessan

Ana Goni-Lessan is a seasoned journalist currently serving as a state watchdog reporter for Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK in Florida since June 2023. Previously, Ana worked as a children and families reporter for the Tallahassee Democrat from 2021 to 2023 and held roles at the Houston Chronicle from 2018 to 2021, including assistant op-ed editor and copyeditor. Ana's early career includes experience as an activities coordinator at the University of Houston, a freelance writer and photographer, desk editor at The Baytown Sun, and verifier/editor for the Florida House of Representatives. Ana holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Florida.
