Michael Anastasi

Michael Anastasi is an accomplished media executive with extensive experience in local and national journalism. Currently serving as Vice President of Local News at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK since May 2018, Michael oversees the largest local-to-national publishing and digital media organization in the U.S., managing over 200 newsrooms and facilitating significant audience growth. Previously, Michael held multiple leadership roles, including Vice President & Region Editor for the South, Vice President & Editor of The Tennessean, and Vice President/News for the USA TODAY Network in Tennessee. Michael's career also includes senior positions at the Los Angeles News Group and The Salt Lake Tribune, with a strong focus on digital integration and audience engagement. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Leadership and Public Service from Lipscomb University, and a degree in Journalism from California State University, Long Beach.
