Ron Erdrich

Ron Erdrich is an experienced photojournalist with a strong background in journalism and photography, currently serving as a photojournalist for the Big Country Journal at the Abilene Reporter-News since April 2000, covering stories across 23 counties. Alongside this role, Ron has worked as a staff photojournalist for Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK, where responsibilities include producing photographs, slideshows, videos, and photo stories. Ron's previous experience includes freelance photography in Kansas City and Orange County, as well as serving as a Photographer's Mate in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve. An active member of the National Press Photographers Association since 1997, Ron held the position of Region 8 Director and chaired the Still Portfolio Critique Program. Ron holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree with an emphasis in Photojournalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
