Christopher Decker started their career in 2008 as a Project Manager and Environment Artist at InMotion Simulation, where they worked on a big rig driving safety simulator. Christopher gained experience in using 3ds Max, Photoshop, and the Torque engine to create modular pieces for level building. In 2009, they worked as a Lead Artist at the National Science Foundation, where they contributed to an educational testing game for grade schools. Christopher used 3ds Max, Photoshop, and the Torque engine to create modular pieces for level building and further developed their knowledge of material scripting.
From 2010 to 2012, Christopher worked at Blizzard Entertainment as part of the Account and Technical Services team, providing high-quality customer service to assist players with billing, account modification, security, and account recovery procedures. Christopher also provided technical troubleshooting for PC and Mac operating systems, as well as applications on iOS, Android, and Blackberry-based devices.
In 2012, Christopher joined Volt (temp) at Apple Inc as an AppleCare Technical Support representative, where they provided technical phone support for Apple's Mac computer line and OS X software. Christopher ensured a top-notch support experience for each customer and recorded detailed documentation of customer interactions.
Christopher then transitioned to a role as a Game Tester - Quality Assurance at Pole to Win America in 2012.
From 2013 to 2021, Christopher worked at Volusion in various roles. Christopher started as a Customer Support Concierge, providing technical support for Volusion's e-commerce software platform and offering custom coding for customers. Christopher then served as a Junior Front End Developer, Front End Web Developer, and Senior Front End Engineer, where they developed responsive themes, created new tools and components for speedier development, and ensured Google AMP compliance. Christopher also played a key role in establishing conventions to improve block development and served as an expert resource for HTML, CSS, and UX concerns. Recently, they joined Gantri as a Senior Software Engineer in 2021.
From 2006 to 2009, Christopher Decker attended The Art Institutes, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Game Art and Design.
