Mert Celik

Mert Celik has extensive experience in the banking sector, currently serving as a Trade Finance Supervisor at Garanti Bankası since August 2015, where previously held positions included Trade Finance Senior Associate, Correspondent Banking Senior Associate, Correspondent Banking Associate, Risk Analysis Associate, and Management Trainee. Mert also participated in the NATO Summer School at the Prague Security Studies Institute in July 2015, focusing on challenges related to Ukraine. Prior to these roles, Mert worked as a Graduate Research Assistant intern at the Hazar Strategy Institute, concentrating on energy markets and international political economy. Mert holds a Master's degree in Financial Economics with a specialization in Quantitative Finance from Istanbul Bilgi University (2011-2013), a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Marmara University (2006-2010), and completed an Erasmus Exchange Program in International Marketing Management at Roskilde Handelsskole (2008-2009). Mert completed secondary education at FMV Özel Ayazağa Işık Lisesi (2002-2006).
