Selim Selimata

Selim Selimata is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in corporate and specialized lending. Currently serving as the Director of Corporate and Specialized Loans at Garanti BBVA since September 2019, Selimata manages a substantial loan portfolio of approximately $15 billion and leads a team of 35 in strategic initiatives within the Credit Allocation department. Prior to this role, Selimata directed Credit Allocation at Odeabank, overseeing lending for corporate, commercial, and SME sectors with a skilled team of 30 professionals. Additionally, Selimata founded and led the Project and Structured Finance division at Odeabank, successfully closing over 30 complex financing deals and establishing a top-performing loan book. Earlier experience includes a managerial role at Garanti Bank, where Selimata contributed to creating a $13 billion loan book and conducted audits in key departments. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Management Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and pending completion of a Master's in International Finance from Istanbul Bilgi University.
