Chaitanya Patel

Chaitanya Patel is an experienced equity derivatives trader, currently employed at Garda Capital Partners since January 2023 and previously at HSBC from March 2018 to December 2022, specializing in single stock dispersion trading. Chaitanya has also gained experience as a quantitative research intern at Moody's Corporation, where expertise in natural language processing was applied to financial statements, along with developing a web crawler for mining data. Academic contributions include research for an honors thesis at Penn State University focused on graph theory algorithms, and an internship at IBM involving automation of test cases for mainframe systems. Chaitanya holds a Master’s Degree in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Computer Engineering with a minor in Statistics from Penn State University.
