Stephen Klotz is an experienced professional in dementia communication and education. Currently serving as a Validation Method Teacher at Country Meadows Retirement Communities since October 2021, Stephen focuses on effective approaches to care for older individuals with dementia. As Dementia Friendly Lancaster County Coordinator since September 2021, Stephen works on initiatives to enhance community interactions with seniors facing cognitive changes in Lancaster County, PA. With a long-standing role at the Validation Training Institute since 2003, Stephen teaches advanced dementia communication skills to caregivers and conducts courses at York College of PA. Previously, as Executive Director of Validation Education at Country Meadows Retirement Communities from 1995 to 2021, Stephen taught various courses on the Validation Method and directed a chaplaincy program, providing spiritual services across multiple campuses. Stephen holds degrees in religion and adult education from Lycoming College and Palmer Theological Seminary and is a Certified Validation Master in the Validation Method of Dementia Communication.
