Lisa Ray

Lisa Ray serves as General Counsel for Garland Independent School District, providing legal advice to the Superintendent, Board of Trustees, and staff on various business and commercial transactions. Previously, Lisa was Assistant General Counsel for Dallas Independent School District, where primary responsibilities included employment counsel for a 20,000-employee organization. Additional experience encompasses roles as Senior Counsel at Barbera, Snead, Herrera and Ray, an Employment Litigation Attorney on contract for JCPenney, Staff Counsel for State Farm, Associate Attorney at Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons L.L.P., and EEO Consultant/Attorney at Bashen Corporation. Lisa holds a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Houston.
