Bruce Cannon

Bruce Cannon is a seasoned optical engineer with extensive experience in the design and development of infrared and visible optics, specializing in refractive and reflective systems. Currently, Bruce serves as a Senior Optical Engineer at Flir Systems and a Senior Optical Scientist at Teledyne FLIR since February 2008. Prior to these roles, Bruce worked as an Optical Design Consultant at PhotonWrangler and as a Senior Optical Engineer at 3M Precision Optics, where expertise included lens design and optical systems architecture. Early career experience includes serving as an Optical Engineer at Evans & Sutherland Graphics, focusing on flight simulator displays and illumination design. Bruce holds a Master of Science in Optics from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Utah State University.
