Derick Schweppe

Derick Schweppe is an experienced Industrial Designer with a strong background in product design and development. Currently serving as Lead Product Designer at Garmin since March 2023, Derick has a history of freelance work through Schweppe Design from January 2012 to April 2023, providing design services for notable clients such as Copco and Hilary's Eat Well. Prior experience includes roles as Chief Design Officer at Mycroft AI from June 2015 to December 2022, where oversight of various design disciplines was a key responsibility, and as a Design Lecturer at the University of Kansas from 2009 to January 2017. Previous positions also include Industrial Designer roles at Marche Design and Infusion Design, along with an internship at Xikar. Derick holds a BFA in Industrial Design from The University of Kansas, earned in 2005.
