Ed Morris

Ed Morris is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Garmin International, specializing in the mechanical design of electronics for boats, particularly chartplotters, since June 2016. Prior experience includes roles as a Product Development Engineer at AFL, focusing on fiber optic apparatus, and a Senior Product Engineer at Electrolux Major Appliances, where product development for built-in cooktops was undertaken and product transfers to China facilitated. Previous positions also involved work as a Mechanical Engineer at Oceaneering, where design and analysis of Dry Deck Shelters were conducted, and as a Product Engineer at Hamilton Beach Brands Inc. for electric small appliances. Early career experience includes product development of consumer ink-jet printers at Lexmark. Ed Morris holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wright State University.
