Tyler Dean

Tyler Dean is a Senior Aviation Mechanical Design Engineer at Garmin since August 2021, specializing in mechanical design and product development for aviation, focusing on display and touch panel systems, electronics packaging, and compliance with FAA requirements. Prior experience includes serving as a Mechanical Engineering Consultant at Timberline Product Design from December 2015 to August 2021, where Tyler worked with diverse clients in the medical, industrial, and consumer product sectors. Prior to that, Tyler held the position of Design Engineer at ESCO Corporation, where responsibilities included designing large weldments and steel castings, ensuring quality control, and conducting stress FEA and reverse engineering of 3D scans. Tyler holds a degree from Oregon State University, completed in June 2014.
