Joana Ames

Joana Ames is a seasoned sales executive with extensive experience in the healthcare and insurance industries. Currently serving as the VP and Head of Mid-Market Sales at Garner Health since June 2021, Joana previously held roles such as Vice President of Employer Sales and Regional Director. Prior to that, Joana worked at UnitedHealth Group from July 2018 to June 2021 as an Account Executive for Key Accounts, focusing on securing new business for medical employer groups through broker channels. Joana also had a significant tenure at MetLife from June 2014 to June 2018, where responsibilities included selling a variety of group and voluntary insurance products. Joana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Business Studies from Providence College and attended Moses Brown School.
