Michael Weisberg, CISSP has over 25 years of experience in Information Security. Michael began their career in 1995 as Vice President of Information Security for Bank of America. In 2000, they moved to Rhythms NetConnections as Director of Technology Services. In 2001, they joined NYSTEC as Principal Engineer of InfoSec, where they provided technical advice and expertise for the New York State CIO Council Identity Management Initiative. In 2003, they co-founded Knowpass, Inc. In 2006, they joined Federal Reserve Information Technology as a Senior Information Security Architect. In 2011, they joined Global Technology Solutions, Inc. as CIO and Managing Director of Information Technology. In 2014, they took on the role of Director of the Cyber Security Program at Russell Sage Online. In 2015, they became an Executive Information Security Consultant and Subject Matter Expert as an Independent Consultant, as well as Enterprise Chief Information Security Officer for the NYS Office of Information Technology Services. Most recently, they have been the Chief Information Security Officer for Garnet River, managing and coordinating the Information Security consulting practice, building and enhancing the MSP business line, and promoting the GarnetShield monitoring and compliance services.

Michael Weisberg, CISSP attained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute between 1979 and 1983. Prior to that, they obtained a Regents Diploma from Jamesville-Dewitt High School between 1975 and 1979. Additionally, they hold a Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification from (ISC)² and a Certified Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance.
