Jiin Joo Ong

Jiin Joo Ong has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. They started their career at Amazon.com as a Software Developer Engineer, where they focused on building websites using Perl, Java, and C++. Afterward, Ong joined Singapore Computer Systems as a Senior Application Specialist, responsible for pre-sales, operations, and optimization of the B2B e-procurement business. They also served as a Technology Evangelist at the company's Technology Innovation Centre, introducing new technologies and upgrading employees' skills.

Later, Ong worked at the Infocomm Development Authority, where they served as an Assistant Manager responsible for driving the success of the Next Gen National Broadband Network by sourcing and committing companies to develop next-gen services.

At SingTel, Ong held multiple roles, including Business Development in the SingTel Innovation Exchange, where they managed partnerships and grew a community of application developers. They also served as an Assistant Principal at SingTel L!feLabs, scouting for leading technology providers and incubating new lines of business.

Their most recent position was as the Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder at Garuda Robotics, a leading developer of enterprise-grade robotics and data solutions.

Jiin Joo Ong obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Economics from Carnegie Mellon University from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, from 1998 to 1999, Ong attended Hwa Chong Junior College, where they completed their A-Levels. Ong's secondary education was at Catholic High School PJ from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained their SPM degree. In 2003 to 2004, Ong pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Stanford University. Additionally, in January 2021, Jiin Joo Ong obtained an Unmanned Aircraft Pilot License from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.
