Ankur Sharma

Ankur Sharma is a distinguished researcher with extensive experience in oncology and cancer biology. Currently serving as the Laboratory Head at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Ankur also holds the position of Visiting Scientist at KK Women's and Children's Hospital. Previous roles include Genomics Lead at the Liver Cancer Collaborative and Adjunct Principal Investigator at A*STAR. Ankur has contributed significantly to the understanding of tumor evolution and the interplay between cancer development and microenvironment, with research conducted as Senior Research Fellow at Curtin University and Head of Laboratory at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. Ankur's academic background includes a PhD in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the Indian Institute of Science, along with a Master's degree in Molecular Human Genetics from Jiwaji University.
