Carlo Morasso is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in the fields of nanomedicine and biophotonics. Currently serving as Principal Investigator for the BrERa Project, Carlo focuses on identifying metabolic fingerprints of breast cancer-associated extracellular vesicles through Raman Spectroscopy. As a Senior Research Scientist at ICS Maugeri SpA, Carlo established a new Laboratory of Nanomedicine, concentrating on the clinical applications of Raman spectroscopy and ultrasensitive detection of biomarkers. Previous roles include research at the Nanomedicine and Clinical Biophotonics Lab where Carlo coordinated an EU-FP7 Euronanomed project, developed diagnostic tests at University College London, and conducted research on drug abuse. Carlo holds a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry and has contributed to academic and clinical research through supervision and presentations at scientific conferences.
