Vivian Bakiris has a diverse work experience. Vivian is currently working as a Full-Stack Software Engineer at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at TEDI-London as a Learning Tree Developer from April 2020 to February 2021 and as a Curriculum Consultant from September 2019 to April 2020. Vivian also served as a Student Ambassador at UNSW from May 2018 to May 2020. Vivian has experience as a FutureTech Mentor at Fighting Chance Australia from September 2016 to December 2019. Vivian held the position of President at UNSW Women in Engineering Society from October 2018 to September 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Communications Designer at Telstra from May 2018 to October 2018. Vivian also gained research experience as a Summer Scholar at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute from December 2017 to February 2018 and as an Intern at the same institute from November 2016 to January 2017.

Vivian Bakiris pursued their education at UNSW from 2015 to 2020, where they completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Bioinformatics and a Master of Biomedical Engineering. Prior to their time at UNSW, they attended St Ursula's College Kingsgrove from 2009 to 2014, though the degree and field of study are unknown. Additionally, Vivian obtained various certifications from LinkedIn, including JavaScript Essential Training, Learning REST APIs, jQuery Essential Training, Learning C, and Learning Java (2018), between March and April 2020.
