Babak Asgharian

Babak Asgharian is an experienced program manager currently working at PacifiCorp in the Power Delivery department since April 2024. Previously, Babak held various leadership roles at Cognex Corporation from May 2011 to May 2020, including Engineering Group Manager for the In-Sight division, where responsibilities included managing a team of 22 engineers and overseeing firmware development for vision systems. Additional roles at Cognex included managing embedded firmware engineering, supervising sustaining efforts, and promoting corporate culture as Minister of Culture. Babak's earlier experience also includes roles at Xerox as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, as well as engineering positions at Tektronix and Cogent Communications. Babak earned a degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from Oregon State University in 2005.
