Elise Henson

Elise Henson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategy and program management. Currently serving as the Director of Strategy at Gary Community Ventures since November 2021, Elise has also held leadership roles including Executive Director of MyFriendBen and Senior Manager of Ventures. Prior experience includes working as a Program Analyst in Education at the Carnegie Corporation of New York from November 2015 to October 2021 and as a Senior Program Manager with generationOn | Points of Light. Earlier career roles include editorial work at American Journal Experts, internships with UNICEF and the International Rescue Committee, and teaching positions at Ibadan International School and Majuro Cooperative School. Elise holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Williams College and a Master of Arts in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University.
