Dion Dennis

Dion Dennis has a diverse work experience, starting as a Student Academic Services Assistant at City Colleges of Chicago in 2014. They then interned as a Human Resources Intern at the Village of Hanover Park in 2021. After that, Dion worked as a Tax Consultant/Office Manager at Affordable Taxes 4 U, where they advised clients on tax preparation and successfully managed two offices. In 2019, they joined the Chicago Anti-Eviction Campaign as an Office Manager/HR Recruiter, where they effectively managed various activities and resolved conflicts within the staff. Dion then worked as a Human Resources Generalist at Gary Public Transportation through Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) in 2022 and eventually became the Human Resources Director at Gary Public Transportation Corporation in 2023.

Dion Dennis holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management and Services from DePaul University, which was obtained from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, Dion earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from DePaul University from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, Dion received an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from City Colleges of Chicago-Olive-Harvey College, completed from 2012 to 2014. Furthermore, Dion has obtained various certifications from LinkedIn in areas such as HR recruiting, problem-solving techniques, interviewing, change management, neurodiversity in the workplace, leadership, and talent acquisition, among others.
