Virginia Haaland

Virginia Haaland, M.A., SPHR. PHR- CA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Virginia is currently serving as the Director of Human Resources at Encore Capital Group, where they act as an HR Business Partner to multiple executives and leaders within the company. Virginia has also worked at Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, as the Associate Director of Human Resources, providing support and guidance to the Oceanside Operations and Quality team. Before that, they were a Senior Manager in HR Corporate Engineering at Qualcomm, where they provided HR generalist support to senior leadership and employees in the Corporate Engineering function. Prior to that, they held various roles at Pfizer, Jack in the Box Inc, AT&T Wireless & AT&T Fixed Wireless, and Nordstrom, gaining experience in HR management, training, and payroll systems. Overall, Virginia has a strong foundation in HR, with expertise in partnering with business leaders, implementing people strategies, and leading HR projects.

Virginia Haaland, M.A., SPHR. PHR- CA completed their Bachelor's degree in English and Psychology at UCLA from 1991 to 1993. In 2013 to 2014, they pursued a Master's degree in Leadership and Organizational Studies at Azusa Pacific University. Virginia also completed an HR certification preparation course at California State University San Marcos in 2012. Later in 2013 to 2014, they obtained a second Master's degree in Leadership and Organizational Studies from Azusa Pacific University. Additionally, Virginia holds certifications as a Certified Facilitator from DDI | Development Dimensions International and as an SPHR- CA from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
