Ilya Utkin is a seasoned optical engineer with extensive expertise in optics and laser physics. Currently serving as a Senior Optical Engineer at Gastops since June 2021, Ilya has a diverse background that includes roles as a Senior Researcher at Graphene Leaders Canada and a Sessional Instructor at Columbia College, where responsibilities included delivering lectures and developing remote physics lab courses. Previous experience encompasses positions as an Optical Physicist at ACAMP, Senior Scientist at SmileSonica Inc., and Research Associate at the University of Alberta, alongside engagements at various research institutions in Belarus. Ilya holds a Ph.D. in Optics and Laser Physics from the Stepanov Institute of Physics and a BSc/MSc in Physics from Belarusian State University.
