Binay Pandey

System Engineer at Clerio Vision

Binay Pandey has held a variety of roles in the engineering field since 2014. In 2020, they began working as a System Engineer at Clerio Vision, Inc., where they are responsible for treatment software development and ownership for multiple projects. Binay has also achieved ownership of the motion control systems and automation software responsible for vision correction, and is familiar with GMP/GLP/GDP or 21 CFR 820 for medical devices. Additionally, they have decreased the treatment time to within clinical relevance by improving treatment speed by 50%.

In 2019, they held two roles at Max-IR Labs. As a Research Development Mechanical Engineer, they achieved small aperture signal acquisition for high spatial resolution and designed optical components for experimental setup. As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, they achieved high quality factor for AFM type instrument, achieved probe modulation and imaging, and conducted root cause analysis and modifications to reduce vibration damping.

In 2018, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Volunteer at The University of Texas at Dallas, where they studied micro-nano scale thermal phenomenon in “slippery rough surfaces.” Binay designed an experimental chamber for condensation and evaporation experiments and researched micro/nanoscale heat transfer (condensation and icing).

From 2014 to 2019, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at E&T Nepal Pvt. Ltd., where they created designs and simulations for various clients, developed software functions, and performed exploratory design studies. Binay also conducted design validation using DVPR, V&V, FMEA, DFMEA, and DFX(M/A). Additionally, they optimized aerodynamic performance of Paralympic racing wheelchairs by reducing crosswind force by 5% for Yachiyo Co.

Binay Pandey received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kathmandu University (KU) between 2010 and 2014. Binay then pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas between 2017 and 2019.
