Geetanjali Akerkar M.D. Agaf

Geetanjali Akerkar MD AGAF is a highly experienced physician specializing in gastroenterology, currently serving as President of Lowell Anesthesia since October 2017 and as a Physician Partner at Gastro Health since February 2022. As a founding member of Northeast Endoscopy LLC since January 2007, Geetanjali has been instrumental in establishing an ambulatory surgery center. In addition to clinical practice, Geetanjali actively participates in various committees within the American Gastroenterological Association, including the Nominating Committee and previously held positions on the Finance and Contract Committee and the Women's Leadership Council. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Genetics from Cornell University, a Doctor of Medicine from Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University, residency training in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Hospital, and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of California, San Francisco.
