Joseph Cassara MD, MBA has held a variety of roles in the medical field. In 2022, they began working as the Chief Medical Officer and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopist and Consultant for Gastroenterology of the Rockies, as well as the Principal Owner for Insights 4 Value HealthCare Consulting, LLC. From 2008 to 2022, they held multiple roles at Colorado Permanente Medical Group (CPMG), including Director of Access and Care Experience, Co-Chair & Founder National Permanente Clinician Communication Center of Excellence, Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopist & Gastroenterologist, Director of Care Experience, Assistant Area Medical Director Clinical Specialties, Area Specialty Chief of Pulmonology, Area Specialty Chief of Rheumatology, and Assistant Regional Department Chief of Gastroenterology. From 2004 to 2008, they were a Clinical Instructor of Internal Medicine at UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA HOSPITALS.

Joseph Cassara MD, MBA has a comprehensive education history. Joseph obtained their Doctor of Medicine degree from The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont in 2001. Following this, they completed an internship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002. Joseph then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the same institution in 2004, followed by a Chief Resident position in the Department of Medicine in 2005. In 2008, they completed a Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Most recently, they are currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Colorado, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
