Ray Twesten has extensive experience in analytical instruments and research within both industry and academia. Since June 2005, Ray has held various positions at Gatan Inc., including Product Manager for Analytical Instruments, Analytical R&D Engineering Manager, and Senior Staff Research Scientist. Prior to this, Ray worked as a Staff Scientist at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from September 1997 to June 2005, and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Sandia National Laboratories from September 1995 to September 1997. Ray earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (1990-1995) and a BS in Physics from Wayne State University (1988-1990).
