Rob Houghtaling

Rob Houghtaling has a diverse work experience in the field of corporate development and consulting. Rob started their career as a Summer Intern at Targeson Inc in 2009, followed by a Summer Internship at HemoSonics, LLC in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Graduate Researcher at Columbia University in the Sia Lab for Microscale Bioengineering.

From 2012 to 2013, Rob worked as an Analyst at Health Advances. Rob then became a Sr. Analyst from 2014 to 2015, and eventually a Consultant/Engagement Manager from 2015 to 2016 in the same company.

In 2016, Rob joined Locust Walk as a Deal Associate and worked until 2018. During this time, they founded and served as the Principal of Morningview Life Sciences starting from 2018.

Rob also worked as a Corporate Development Consultant for both Psy Therapeutics, Inc and Scioto Biosciences, Inc from 2018 to 2019.

Most recently, they joined Gate Neurosciences, Inc in 2019 as a Director of Corporate Development. In September 2020, they were promoted to the position of Sr. Director of Corporate Development, which they currently hold.

Rob Houghtaling completed their education with a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia, finishing in 2011. Preceding their university studies, Rob attended Unionville High School. In addition to their academic achievements, they obtained certifications in the financial industry, including the Series 63 and Series 79 qualifications from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in May 2016 and April 2016, respectively.
