Johnny (Guangliang) Wang

Johnny (Guangliang) Wang has worked in a variety of roles since 2001. Johnny (Guangliang) began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Nankai University before becoming a Product Consultant and Research Scientist at Shanghai Fosun Med-Tech Development Co., Ltd. in 2004. Johnny (Guangliang) then moved to SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2006, where they worked as a Research Specialist before pursuing a PhD, which they completed in 2007. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Johnny (Guangliang) then worked as an Investigator, Lab-Head at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) from 2016 to 2019. Most recently, they have been working at Gatehouse Bio as a Director and Associate Director since 2022.

Johnny (Guangliang) Wang has a diverse educational background. Johnny (Guangliang) obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) from Tianjin University of Science and Technology in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from 1997 to 2001. Johnny (Guangliang) then proceeded to earn a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Nankai University from 2001 to 2004. Lastly, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell and Developmental Biology from State University of New York Upstate Medical University from 2007 to 2012.
