Jay Fogarty is the Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at GateHouse Media. Jay has over fifteen years of experience in technology and media companies, with a focus on business development and strategic planning.

Previously, Jay was the Vice President Strategic Planning at the Boston Globe Media / NY Times Company, where they built several new business lines to generate millions of dollars in new organic print and digital revenue. Jay also led a 12 person team in both strategy and new business lines, and was a key driver of the broader innovation process across the properties to transition from a print-based newspaper to a regional multi-media company. In addition, Jay oversaw strategic revenue partnerships, including the NESN / Red Sox relationship.

Before joining the Boston Globe Media / NY Times Company, Jay was at Interland (now Web.com) for five years, where they held the role of VP Business Development. In this role, they were responsible for leading Interland’s strategy formulation and execution of key alliances to grow revenue and enhance product offerings across Interland’s lines of business. Jay also initiated and led initiatives to diversify revenues through third party distribution partnerships, including database marketers, direct sales forces, and in-the-box retail offerings. These initiatives became the core part of the corporate strategy, P&L, and day-to-day operations. During their time at Interland, Jay forged industry leading product integration deals with Google, Overture, eBay, PayPal, Amazon

Jay Fogarty received their MBA from Kellogg GSM (Northwestern) in marketing and corporate strategy. They also have an AB from Dartmouth College.
