Amy Davies

Amy Davies is an experienced professional in housing strategy and partnerships, currently serving as the Housing Strategy and Partnerships Team Leader at Gateshead Council since November 2021, where responsibilities include leading bids for funding and managing a team. As the founder of Yesteryeah Vintage, Amy has also played a vital role in the fashion sector. In addition, Amy co-founded Smart Works Newcastle, a charity that supports women in need with interview preparation services, and has held the position of Housing Policy Advisor at Your Homes Newcastle, providing direct policy advice. Previous experience includes managing the complaints function at Newcastle City Council and volunteering with Oxfam to enhance vintage and preloved clothing sales. Amy holds an MA in Fashion Management with Distinction from Northumbria University and a BA in Politics and Media Studies from De Montfort University.
